I am in the process of converting my blogging engine from das Blog to Word Press. During the transition, please feel free to ignore such things as the “about” page, my blogroll, etc.

Aahh, this is much better. Although you may want to put in a couple of plugins. The first one I would recommend is one that provides CAPTCHA for your comment fields. Let me know if you need help on this, since I tried a bunch before settling on the one I have.
Much easier to look at!
Congrats on the WP migration! I’m sure you’ll love it. :)
Now it’s time to pimp your blog. First of all you need a spliffy non-standard theme of course. This blue one comes right out of the box if I’m correct. Plenty of nice ones about though, which you can use (for free) without having to get into that php template code you love so much.
When it comes down to plugins, you can always take a peek at the ones I have running on my blog. I list them on the About page.
I use mostly functional ones. No real bling on my site, since that stuff just slows things down in the end, and annoys users. Well, it annoys me anyway.
FYI, links to “15 Exercises to Know a Programming Language” give me “Server Error in ‘/’ Application – The resource cannot be found”, which is unfortunate for me, since I’m just learning C#, and that sounds like it would be really, really helpful right now!
Lots of other links broken too, can’t remember which ones.
Great to see you’re moving to something we can comment on without having to remember where IE lives on the start menu :-)
I recommend Akismet for anti-spam in the comments, if you don’t have it installed already – I use it and it’s picked up every spam comment ever posted on my blog, with zero false positives to date. And this without any requirement for CAPTCHA or moderation.
(Of course, you probably have more Google-juice than me, so YMMV.)
Good move, Larry!
Views presented here are my own. I'm very often wrong, stupid, and say things that, in retrospect, embarrass and humiliate me. Just the way it is, I suppose.
In particular, views represented here do not necessarily represent the views of Xamarin.
